William Prichitt Shwab

William Prichitt Shwab, age 89, passed away April 18, 2010, at his home in Gainesville, GA. Bill was born October 7, 1920 in Nashville, TN where he lived most of his life. He was a highly decorated fighter pilot, flying 88 combat missions in the 5th and 7th Air Forces in WWII. Bill loved sailing, snow skiing, duck hunting, and summers in Harbor Springs, MI. He inspired others with his kindness, positive attitude and generosity of heart. We will miss his smile and southern gentile ways. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, J.B. and Louise Prichitt Shwab and his brother, Robert Shwab. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 28 years, Beth Kolar Shwab (Gainesville), his children, Bill Shwab, Dan Shwab, Carol Shwab, Beth and Reid Moore, Susan and Allen Willingham, Carolyn Shoulders, and Anne Shoulders along with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville on April 30th at 10:30am. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
