My Grandpa was like a 2nd father to me, a mentor in so many ways, and a great fishing buddy and just plain fun to be around. So many weekends, summers and fishing outings. I count myself as both lucky to have known him and also to have had him for 40 years of my life. Not to many people can say that. He will be missed terribly by all of us, but I take comfort in knowing he passed peacefully, with no pain, and on HIS terms. You can&singleqoutest ask for more than that.

Love to Grandma and the rest of the family.

I have been extremely lucky in that I have known 6 of my great-grandparents. I consider myself even luckier at knowing that I had/have the best great-grandparents I could ever hope for. Granddaddy Smith was as close to me as a grandfather, and treated me like a daughter. I loved him dearly and will never forget the things he taught me and all of the wonderful memories we had.
