Terri was my first cousin, but was really more like a sister. I watched her grow up into a dynamic, stubborn (in a good way!), kind and generous woman. I was always proud of how she lived her life, but never as much as during the last nine months. Cancer got her body, but not her spirit. I&singleqoutesll miss you, my sweet Terri.

I only knew Terri through my Pastor, Sharon, her cousin. We did have someting in common as I, too, have cancer. You are in my prayers.e

Terri Lee is my friend.
She died on Sunday.
How will I continue on through my life
now that she is gone…
Well,
I know that I must.
She would want me too.
Strong-willed was Terri&singleqoutess middle name…
probably her first name, too! {we just called her Terri!)
And she never gave up!
She would want me, and all of us,
to continue on in her footsteps.
Her smile…
her laugh…
her wonderfully wicked sense of humor!
I loved her with no hair!
She&singleqoutesd flip that wig off
and just rub her head!
Ahhh! It felt so good to have freedom! from the itch…
yet, she was ever so thankful for those wigs!
And her doctors…
and her nurses…
and hospice…
and Greg.
Greg, she loved you so very much.
There are no words
that can measure her love for you.
Even when she was frustrated with things,
she&singleqoutesd say your name with emotion
that emitted love.
You and Nippers…
You, first! (well, most always!)
The pain she dealt with
I have no idea how.
I know that pain was worse than what I am experiencing now with her loss…
I can hardly imagine
anyone being able to stand it…
especially with the courage Terri did.
Class…
that&singleqoutess the word I&singleqoutesd use to describe Terri.
Compassionate…
She tried not to show her &qoutessoft&qoutes side
but it was always evident
in her actions.
Terri makes me smile…right now.
Through my tears…
I see her…
she is grinning at me,
and joking,
and loving on Nippers, and talking about her car, and loving Greg.
Though I&singleqoutesll miss the physical touch of her hand…
I&singleqoutesll always have her love and friendship
in my heart.
Terri Lee. I love you.
Soar with the angels girlfriend! Soar!
