Condolence from Eric R. Oakes on November 30th, -0001 12:00 am

November 17, 2010 marks the day that you became an Angel in God&singleqoutess Army. You&singleqoutesve always been an Angel to me but it seems he has a better life planned out for you up there than he did here, I tell myself not to be hurt, not to be angry and not to be selfish but be grateful that I was able to spend the time I was granted with you. 36 years of my life with an Angel by my side, what more can a man ask for.

The past 4 years have been a struggle for you. A painful struggle, distorted worries, unbearable changes with nothing but negative outcomes but you faced it all and refused to stand down. You held your head as high as you could and showed strength and determination to get past that evil spell that was bestowed upon your body. The devil thought he could get over but, he didn&singleqoutest know good old RUBY OAKES. You are a fighter, extremely strong willed, and feisty filled with drive and determination. Which also lives through me. Life to me has changed from this day forward, I guess you could call me selfish but I wasn&singleqoutest ready for you to leave just yet but God had a new life mapped out for you, and I&singleqoutesm grateful to him for giving you this new and improved life. Your legacy will live through your Sons (myself, Ronnie & Brandon) , and your Grandchildren (Eric & Enajah). We will do our best to make you proud the rest of our days upon this earth. I thank God for blessing and loving me so much that he gave my life to you to bring into this world. I consider myself the luckiest man to walk this earth to have a woman of your stature to be my mother. Right now I feel anger. Slowly but surely my anger is being conquered by relief. Relief in knowing that you can smile & laugh again, relieved that you don&singleqoutest have to endure a whirlwind off pain and agony, relieved that you will be happy, comfortable, relaxed and satisfied. You are the only woman on this earth that honestly & truly holds my heart. I wish I could&singleqoutesve been by your side in your time of need, just as you were for me through my ups & downs all my life. Everyday that goes by knowing I will never see your face or hear your voice again burns a hole in my heart. To the #1 woman in my life, I want the world to know, you are my world, my everything and without you, there couldn&singleqoutest have been a ME. I thank you, I will miss you and I love you.

Love Forever and Always Eric
