I first remember hearing about a brilliant machinist, who was also a great motorcycle rider. Later I learned what a dear friend and great guy Bob was. We enjoyed pronouncing his name with the appropriate accent, so that it came out &singleqoutesBub&singleqoutes, or close to it. Keith, Bob and I had a delightful ride at dusk, when the others cancelled out, before the Rat meeting. We always enjoyed the ride, and there were never enough opportunities. Bob loaned us his beautiful Triumph T100 for a show, and when Colin and I came to pick it up, Bob showed us his beautiful BSA, and kept us entertained with one story after another. I&singleqoutesd like to tip a Pint with him one more time, and throw in a good brisk ride while we were at it. We all miss him and feel fortunate to have known him.
God Bless Bob, he had a great life.
