Melvin L. Tompkins, 1922 – 2016

Last night we lost Randy's dad, Melvin Tompkins. We are grateful for the amazing 94 years of life he led. He served in WW2 as a medic in the Philippines; served and retired as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor; was instrumental in kicking off our denomination's student missionary program; married the beautiful Pauline; raised 2 amazing kids who've added grandkids and great grandkids; played a fierce trombone; painted amazing water colors; and pestered me relentlessly about The China Study…all from a delightful place of love and light. He will be sorely missed. I am so blessed to have known him. Rest in Jesus, precious man. Arrangements are pending
