Douglas &Quot;Doug&Quot; E. Hunter, Sr.

Mr. Douglas "Doug" E. Hunter, age 53 of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on February 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hunter was born to Charles & Shirley Hunter in Ashville, North Carolina. Mr. Hunter grew up and spent his life in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Hunter was a self-described antique enthusiast; though, his family lovingly referred to him as a hunter and collector of junk! Rarely did he pass an estate sale, a yard sale, or a flea-market without stopping to find his next treasure! Mr. Hunter is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Tyrone Townsend. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a son, Douglas Hunter, Jr. of Hiram, GA; a sister, Vickey Abadia of Stockbridge, GA; a brother, Dale Hunter of Hiram, GA; and a host of family, loved ones and friends.

Following cremation, the family will privately gather to reflect and celebrate Douglas' life at a time and place to be determined.
