Addie Elaine (Tawzer) Bunch, 90, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on December 25, 2025. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be remembered as one who devoted herself to helping and caring for others. In this way she left an indelible mark on those who knew her, and her presence will be greatly missed.
Elaine was born in Acworth, Georgia, on February 20, 1935, to Stacy and Alma (Elliott) Tawzer. While a student at Osborne High School her instinctive work ethic and desire to care for those in need developed into traits that would define the rest of her life, especially as she gave herself to the care of her mother and siblings. Her professional career saw her in service with Cobb County, Georgia for many years. She ended her work career retiring from Home Depot, well into her eightieth year.
Elaine is survived by her two sons, Philip Mark Jones, of Dallas, Georgia, and Stephen Tracey Jones (Melanie), of Raleigh, North Carolina; her brother John (“Johnny”) Tawzer of Marietta, and sister Judy Hester of Acworth; her beloved grandchildren, Brandi, Christopher, Courtney, Gabriel, Mackenzie and Bryce, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, January, 31 at 2:00 PM at the Collar Park Community Center, 2625 Joe Jerkins Boulevard, Austell, GA, 30106.
