I was so sad to hear of the passing of Jean. She was always like a &qoutesmama&qoutes to me when I worked for BellSouth Engineering in Marietta. I started to work there back in the mid 1970&singleqoutess after teaching high school for 3 years. Being raised in s small Mississippi town and moving to Atlanta was a huge adjustment to me. Jean was was always so sweet to me, helping me get adjusted to my new engineering job, making me feel special, and taking care of me like a mother.

I love this picture of her. Just seeing that pretty smile makes me remember lots of good times in that Marietta Engineering Office. Lots of laughs, lots of fun, and lots of fond memories.

Please know that Jean was so well-loved and will always hold a special place in my heart.

May God grant you peace and comfort all of you during this difficult time.

    Love,
    Marcie (Munn) Mote

My Aunt Gene helped lead me to Christ. It was 1957 at the Christmas play of the Chatt. Baptist Church on Bolton Rd where she talked me into being in the play she was directing. After the play and Preacher Howard Crowe had an Alter call, sometime got a hold of me and I went to Alter and was saved at the age of 12. That has stuck with me rest of my life. She was and is still a big inspiration in my life.

She was always a bright light and shining example of what it takes to be a good person to everyone she knew. She was such a joy to be around and such a smart and creative lady. She was instrumental in having get togethers for the young people at our church and just as instrumental in caring for others, family and friends. She has cook many, many meals and coordinated many events and most importantly, she knew the Lord. We have all lost a precious friend and even though we have missed her during her illness, and will miss her still, we know that she is resting in the arms of Jesus with no worries and, I&singleqoutesm sure, that beautiful smile is still a bright light. My deepest sympathy to you, Peggy, and all her family. We all loved Jean.

Peggy, precious memories will get you through. You were a loving and caring daughter and your mom knew that till the very end. My mom has certainly welcomed her in heaven with open arms and probably has her signed up for the social committee. God Bless you and your family.

Aunt Jean was the Queen of hospitality. She always seemed so happy when I would stop by to visit her and Bobby. She would always asked if I would like to spend the night so I would not have to drive back to Carrollton. I can remember the wonderful chicken and dumplings she often cooked.
Aunt Jean was a special lady and will always be remembered.
