
Charles James Giles “Chuck” passed away on Sunday, October 28 around 9pm at Brightmoore Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was born in San Diego, CA on July 27, 1956. Chuck was a boxer, an Eagle Scout, and served in the 48th Brigade of the National Guard.
Driving over a million miles, Chuck was a long-haul truck driver for 27 years -CB handle “Refuge”. He loved his family, the outdoors, classic rock n roll and a good smoke. Chuck was a tall man with a kind, quiet spirit who helped anyone he could and never had a cross word to say about his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Billy Joe Giles and Nancy Wallace Giles of Barnesville, GA; son, Charles Kay Giles & daughter-in-law Amanda Hayward-Giles of Macon, older brother, Clifford Giles & sister-in-law Willene Giles of Barnesville; younger brother, Mark Giles & sister-in-law Linda Giles of Hampton; former wives, Marlene Giles and Debbie Kaupman; cousin Dean Ogel; nephews, Joe Giles, Josh Giles, and Seth Giles and nieces Brittany Williams and Sarah Giles.
