A loving and generous spirit has passed, one that will be truly missed. As we listened to his traveling tells, we felt like we had been to all the places he visited. Even though he lived a full life, we always wish there was more time to spend with those that are taken too soon. Our thoughts will be of Bruce often.

Brucie Baby, you were a friend like none other and you will surely be missed. You were a profound gentleman to the end, never saying an unkind word about anyone and generous to a lofty degree.
Your perpetual summers came to an end way too soon and the annual trip to the mountains to get cool won&singleqoutest be the same; but we will still raise our glass of red wine and toast your memory, one we shall never forget. Until we meet again,
Rest in peace.

We will sorely miss hearing that wonderful Aussie accent, the great stories, and your smiling voice! So many of our conversations were over the phone, but we enjoyed our occasional visits when we were in Atlanta and of course the summer visit you made to Buffalo! We are planning to take Sydney to Sydney next Christmas, and are so very sad that the trip won&singleqoutest be the same without our good friend. We will miss you Bruce!

This sent by e-mail from Angelika who lives in Berlin,Germany:
Thanks so much for remembering me and sending the sad message. It seems so unreal, because in my mind I believed, Bruce would live forever. Of course that is unrealistic. I know all his best friends will miss him painfully and he never will be forgotten. I never will forget the time we spent with him and thank God I got to know him. I will miss the funny mails he sometimes sent. He should have had a longer life. But I think it is important to remember, that he had a good life, and he could leave the world without agony, pain and long suffering. Please give my deepest sympathy to all who loved him and please let me know the time of the memorial, because I would like to be with you in my thoughts. I will inform my sister Heike and mother Charlotte of his passing. I am sure they feel the same way. Please keep in touch.

We will miss Bruce. He was a most gracious host and we hope he is enjoying Martini Time- because it is always 5:00 PM somewhere. Maybe he is even having a great conversation with my mother.

Bruce was such a good friend to my late disabled mother in Atlanta. He visited her regularly and she was so appreciative. What a great guy he was. I so much appreciated his kindness.
