
Bert Dennis Peacock, age 83 of Smyrna, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his sisters, Lois Clodell Black of Lindale, TX, Juanita Pearl Whitten of Manteca, CA; brother, Theodore Dillavan Peacock of Terrell, TX, Carl Hilton Peacock of Dallas, TX; several nieces and nephews.
No service is planned at this time and he will be cremated according to his final wishes.

Graveside services will be October 12th, 2013 at 11:30 at Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas. Memorials may be made to the Dallas Salvation Army shelter.

Bert Dennis Peacock passed away on August 7th in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 83. He was born in Breckenridge, Texas on September 24th, 1929 to Beulah McGuire and Theodore Dillavan Peacock. Bert graduated from Wylie High School in 1947 and was a Korean War veteran. He started his career at DeSoto Paints in Dallas and retired from Glidden Paints after 17 years in Atlanta. Bert was known for his good humor, independence, and love of home cooking. For over 30 years, he drove from Atlanta to Texas to have Thanksgiving with his two oldest sisters, amusing all with his stories and banter during the Cowboys game. Bert
