Life Legacy


Mr. Glenn Edward Champion age 83, a life long resident of Paulding County passed away on Wednesday February 17. Mr. Champion is the son of the late Gus and Lucy Champion. Mr. Champion is preceded in death by his wife Sara Teal Champion they were married on October 9, 1946 Mrs. Champion passed away on March 2, 1998. Mr. Champion Was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas where he was ordained as a Deacon in 1959. He was active in the Tallapoosa Association as Training Union Director, served in the United States Navy from September 1944 until March 1946. Mr. Champion was a retired Dallas City Council Member and owned Glenn’s Antiques. He was also President of the Paulding County CB Club.
Mr. Champion is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John E. and Audrey Champion of Franklin, Georgia; granddaughter: Natalie and Charlie Walthour of Spring Field, Georgia; two great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Ernie and Aira Young of Dallas, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday February 19, 2010 at 3:00 pm from Dallas Memory Gardens with Rev. Danny Patrick, Dr. Gregg Potts, Rev. Mark Patrick and Rev. Larry Parish officiating Mr. Champion was cremated.
